Quadblogging With Room 6

Room 6's QUADBLOG.
Here in Room 6 we are "quadblogging" for the first time. While last year's class had blogs, for this year's children it will be a new experience.  Our quadblog involves Y5/6 pupils from Laingholm Primary, Medbury school and Oaklands Primary.

WHAT IS QUADBLOGGING
A blog is an online blog web-page featuring information and graphics. It is regularly updated with new information and people can visit the web address (a URL) to see what has been put there (posted).  Sometimes you can build an online community of people who follow and sometimes make comments on what they read.  That is what the we are doing. It is called "Quadblogging" because there are 4 schools involved reviewing and commenting on each others blog posts.

WHY ARE WE QUADBLOGGING?
Quadblogging will help us learn about being a digital citizen, how to be safe online and how to learn using technology.  Having other regular visitors (hits) gives us an authentic audience for what we write and their feedback and recommendations will help us improve in our writing.

How to give good feedback.
Try a "feedback sandwich"
Carefully read through what has been posted.
Make a comment on something that you like.  Say why you liked it or something they did well.
Make a suggestion or recommendation.
Finish with another positive comment.  Again, say why you liked it.

  1. That's a great idea Room 6. You can see the work of other children your age and will get comments on the things you post. Where are these schools? Make Waikanae proud with the work you post! Have a great year!
